Fundraising Expectations

In order to participate in the event you must raise at least $100.  Don’t forget – you must check in at registration in order to claim your swag and be eligible for prizes!

The more you raise the more great prizes you get!

$100 – Valentine Plunge Tee Shirt
$250 – Tee Shirt plus Hat
$500 – All of the above plus Beach Towel
$750 – All of the above plus Sweatshirt
$1,000 – All the above plus Robe or Lap Blanket
$2,000 – All of the above plus a Custom Jacket
All items come with the exclusive Valentine Plunge logo – big time bragging rights!

Prizes will be awarded to

1. The individual who raises the largest amount of money.
2. Team that raises the largest amount of money.
3. Most Creative Costume – Team
4. Most Creative Costume – Individual
5. The Most Money raised by an Individual under the age of 18

Plunging as a Team vs. Individual

If you would like to take the Plunge with your friends, simply come up with a team name and put it on your registration form. If you are a solo plunger, indicate that you will be plunging as an individual on your registration form. All individuals still need to raise the minimum $100 to participate.

What to Wear

We suggest outer clothing that is warm and can be changed into and out of easily. You may wear a bathing suit, wet suit or dry suit, and certainly no skinny-dipping! We strongly recommend you wear shoes into the water. You should leave your wallet, valuables and jewelry with your guests or don’t bring them at all. Large tents with heaters will be available at the Plunge location where you can dress down and back up again.

A Fundraising Packet will be mailed to you.
Please bring your registration forms to Pre-Registration: Friday, February 3rd 6-9pm at Manasquan Beach House, 390 East Main St. Manasquan (formerly O’Neill’s)
or
Day of Plunge Registration: Gee Gee’s at the Manasquan Main Beach from 10-11:30am.

Event Schedule

Pre-Plunge Party and Registration:
Manasquan Beach House (formerly O’Neill’s), 6-9pm, 390 E. Main Street, Manasquan – Friday, February3rd– Join us for the 6th Annual Valentine Plunge Pre-Party! At the party you can register for the plunge, collect your incentives, learn more about ALS and enjoy great entertainment, food & drink specials.

Register the day of the Plunge:
Saturday, February 4th – 10-11:30am at Gee Gee’s Family Fun Center, Main Beach, Manasquan. Coffee and breakfast food can be purchased.

The Plunge Begins!
12 noon sharp! The Plunge will take place at Main Beach Manasquan located at the end of Main Street. Spectators are welcome! Bring your friends and family for support! Let’s all have a great time for a great cause.
